Here is the reply from Patrick Song in Malaysian
Borneo.
I can fish either of the weeks he has open.
Yan Xia (my Chinese girlfriend) will be travelling
with me in Borneo. I don't know if she will want to go
on the water for a week, and she will likely stay
ashore.
Let me know your thoughts and plans as soon as
possible so I can make the final arrangements.
This seems like a fantastic opportunity to fish some
great territory!

Hi Robert,
Now to your questions:
I can book you on tentatively 14th - 20th or 21st to
27th May?
Boat Sea Maiden 1 have 15 berths, in 4 rooms, all
fully air conditioned. There are 2 x 20ft speed boats
to go into the reefs for jigging, popping or trolling.
Best to have a max of 10 pax. Will provide a guide on
board
The full boat charter is USD8,000. For individual
bookings we charge USD1,000 per pax. We will try to
fill in the rest. Normally we need a max of 8 pax for
a trip to commence, but we sometimes go with less as
well.
Normal scheduling:
Day1 Arrive Labuan, pick up at airport, send to
supermarket for last minute shopping, then board
vessel, commence to the Spratlys.
Day 2
Arrive at Royal Charlotte Reef, fish for 1 day 1 night
Day 3 Mid Day - Proceed to Layang Layang, obtain
security clearance proceed to Marivelles reef
(trolling all the way) Depending on no. of fish caught
along the way, should arrive at Marivelles reef by 4
or 5 pm. Anchor down for night fishing
Day 4 Go into reef with Speed boats for popping,
jigging or trolling, Can have option of staying on
Marivelles or go to any of the 4 other reefs (Erica,
Investigator, Ardarsier)
Day 5 Same as day 4
Day 6 Half day fishing, proceed back to Labuan after
lunch
Day 7 Mid Morning to arrive back in Labuan.
Recommend to check into Waterfront Marina hotel for a
night stay in Labuan. Hotel will be at own cost. USD51
per room, can accomodate 2 persons.
We can also organise tours around the island, mangrove
river tours etc.
Do let me know your best suited dates. I wil try to
accomodate where possible.
The charter includes 3 meals per day Asian meals
consisting of Rice, 1 vegetable, 1 meat and as many
fish dishes as you want. Will have fresh fruits of
papaya, watermelon etc after meals, free flow of
orange cordial, coffee and tea. You will need to buy
your own alcoholic drinks, we will bring you for a
last minute shopping trip when you arrive. Alcohol is
very cheap in Labuan. Duty free island.
